Jewellery and body belong together and react with one another. There is an interaction between them, not just with the wearer but also with outside perceivers. The piece of jewellery can be sensed as a part of the body and therefore as an expansion of one’s self.
In mywork I explore and question the borders and transit zones of the body, such as the skin. I want to address the senses of both the wearer and the observer to make a piece of jewellery initiate a connection as it emits a longing to not only be glanced at but to be seen, touched, and truly felt.
